A good interface explains itself quickly. A memorable one keeps a little something in reserve. The second look is where a tiny label, a thoughtful transition or an unexpectedly generous empty state becomes visible.

Speed matters, but fluency is not the same as flatness. The best products form layers: the obvious action, the reassuring detail and the small reward waiting for the regular.

Clarity gets people through the door. Character gives them a reason to remember the room.

Make the edges intentional

Look at the moments outside the happy path. Loading, waiting, failing, returning. These are the seams people touch most often, and they are where a product's voice becomes credible.
